Best Laid Plans of Mice & Men

Well...the best laid plans of mice & men... With the Northern Tier trip ending only three days ago, we could not get enough leadership scouts to come up to Many Point to get the camp set up in anticipation of the rest of the troop.
Since my son is working at Many Point and was expecting me, I went ahead and packed up and drove up. It was warm and clear yesterday, but about 5:00 this morning, it started raining rather heavily. It stopped about 7:00 and clearing up now. It should be nice, but warfm when the troop gets here. There is a 20% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.
I have heard from Scout Master Devitt and he says they have left. I am sitting outside of the administration lodge posting this update. They have a new fiber optic connection this year, so I am not longer limited by the weather for posting updates. I'm off to have breakfast with the CITs (Counselors In Training) then off to Bemidji to visit the Bemidji Woolen Mills, then back here to meet the troop when they arrive about 2:00. That's it for now from Many Point Scout Camp. YIS Jon Yearous
