The new scouts on first class adventure had their five mile hike canceled today on account of the temperature. Instead, they got extra time at the beach where they practiced their swim strokes, learned about snorkeling, and got to try to sink row boats..... all in one hour!
Diner tonight was prepared and served by the staff to the boys down at the beach. What did they have? Who cares! It's a meal they didn't have to cook or clean up. Is this place great or what?
Tomorrow at 6:15am is the Polar Bear event. This is a story that is told to the boys and at key parts of the tale, they rush into the water and do some actions. Rumor has it that if the temps next year are like this year, they will rename this the Solar Bear event.
